Frequently asked questions
Christian counseling integrates professional mental health practices with Biblical principles. Our therapists are trained clinicians who also share your faith, so you can explore life’s challenges through a Christ-centered lens. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, or relationship struggles, we seek to offer hope, healing, and guidance rooted in Scripture.
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It’s a research-backed therapy method used to help people heal from trauma and distressing life experiences.
EMDR helps the brain process painful memories so that they no longer feel as overwhelming. It’s often used to treat:
* PTSD
* Anxiety and panic
* Depression
* Childhood trauma
* Grief and loss
We integrate EMDR with a compassionate, faith-based approach to help you experience deeper healing—mind, body, and spirit.

Not at this time, but we do provide an option for a superbill.
Many clients prefer self-pay for greater privacy, flexibility, and control over their care—without the limitations or required diagnoses that insurance may impose. It's a simple, confidential option, and many find the investment in their well-being worthwhile.
Most sessions are about 50 minutes long. Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other—you’ll share a bit about what’s bringing you in, and we’ll talk through your hopes, goals, and how we can best support you. It’s a welcoming space to begin your journey, grounded in compassion, faith, and trust.
Great question! Here’s a quick breakdown:
LPC-Associate (LPC-A):
An LPC-A is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. This means they have completed a Master’s degree in counseling and passed their licensing exam. They are fully trained and qualified to provide therapy but are still gaining post-graduate hours under the supervision of a seasoned, fully licensed therapist. Many LPC-As bring fresh knowledge and deep compassion to their work.
Interns:
Interns are graduate students in a counseling program who are in the final stages of their training. They are carefully supervised and are passionate about learning and serving. Seeing an intern can be a great option for clients seeking affordable care while still receiving quality support.
There are many benefits!
- Lower cost: Services with LPC-As and interns are often available at a reduced rate.
- High quality care: These therapists are highly motivated, well-trained, and closely supervised by experienced clinicians.
- Fresh perspective: Many interns and associates bring the latest insights from their training and a deep sense of calling to the work.
- Compassionate presence: Because they are in a growth phase of their careers, interns and LPC-As often bring extra attentiveness, empathy, and dedication to each session.
